Introducing a NEW brand from GIANTmicrobes - Fuzzy Fossils!
At a whopping 40-feet long and 16,000 pounds, the T. rex was a behemoth of a creature! Its jaws were chock-full of some 60 teeth, and its skull was rock-solid - made to survive the pressure of crunching through bones! The thought of its fossilised remains truly inspires a sense of awe and wonder.
Size: 7 x 5 x 4" plush
T. rex, the ultimate ruler of the lizards, was the most kickin' carnivore to ever live on this planet. From 68-65 million years ago during the late Cretaceous period, this massive monster was the last and hugest of over 30 types of Tyrannosaurs spotted. Only a few dozen skulls and skeletons have been discovered but paleontologists are still thrilled 'cause they tell us so much about their diet and habits. (Plus, they look really cool!) Estimates reckon this beast was 16,000 pounds and 40-feet long. While its arms weren't too impressive, every other part was massive, from its three huge, clawed, bird-like toes to its strong legs and head. It was fully-loaded with 60 jagged teeth around the size of bananas, and its skull was tough enough to chop through solid bones. But its beauty can't be denied - some think T. rex even had feather-like colours on its scales!
